Being a hopeless stroller addict, I'm always on the lookout for new awesome strollers, hoping to one day find THE ONE and achieve stroller nirvana. In the mean time, since no one stroller meets all my needs, I own five and actually use them all on different occasions. In case you're curious, I own two Apricas and three Bumblerides. Ok, we won't mention the Baby Jogger I have stored in my in-laws garage. That one is already listed on Craigslist, so technically it doesn't count.
I put a lot of thought and research in to buying each one of my strollers, and so I'm pretty attached to them all and can't imagine parting with any. I could, however, very well imagine adding to my collection. Obviously my husband thinks I'm nuts and would love nothing better than to clear out the garage and sell three or four strollers on Craigslist. Men.
One day my kids will grow out of strollers, but in the mean time, I intend to enjoy this baby stroller phase to its fullest.
On that note, here are some of the best (in my humble opinion) new strollers of 2015. Although many new strollers were introduced in the beginning of this year, these are my personal favorites, chosen for a perfect harmony of functionality and beauty.
1. Mountain Buggy Urban Jungle Luxury Collection - $600
The Mountain Buggy took a good thing and made it totally awesome. The Urban Jungle Luxury stroller is updated with a one-hand fast fold, hand break, new gear tray with 22lbs capacity, an adjustable leg rest, leather accents, premium canvas fabrics and a reversible seat liner. A matching diaper bag is included with the stroller. If only they shaved two inches off the width and made the stroller 5lb lighter, I would be in stroller heaven. As it is, I'm not sure how long I'll be able to resist this one. Damn you Mountain Buggy, is all I've got to say.
2. Mamas & Papas Armadillo Flip - $500
Remember the original Armadillo? A lightweight stroller with a huge canopy, a flat recline, adjustable leg rest and a large basket? Well, now the seat is reversible and the stroller can be folded with the seat facing either way. Sweet!
3. Valco Baby Snap Ultra Stoller - $450 ($399 on Amazon)
Another lightweight stroller with a reversible seat. This baby weighs only 18lb! Some other cool features of the Snap Ultra: flat recline, huge, expandable canopy, adjustable legrest, bumper bar with gate opening, huge basket and an option to replace wheels with all terrain, air-filled tires (sold separately). The Snap Ultra can also be used with a bassinet or a car seat.
4. Babyzen YoYo - $470
The original Yoyo stroller was a hit for being super lightweight (12.8lb), having a tiny fold and being the size of a carry-on luggage when folded. This stroller is perfect for air travel, since parents can store it in the overhead compartment on the plane. The Yoyo is fully compliant with IATA guidelines for cabin baggage. For a tiny stroller, the Yoyo can handle a hefty load of upto 50lb! It has now been updated to include a flat reclining, parent facing infant seat that can be used from birth.
5. Baby Jogger Vue Lite - $180
Have you noticed a pattern here? I love lightweight strollers! The Vue Lite is a 14.5lb umbrella stroller with a reversible seat and a 55lb maximum load capacity. You can also use the stroller with a soft carrycot (sold separately) or a car seat. The large canopy is rated UV 50+. Vue Lite will be released on February 5.
6. Uppa Baby Cruz - $530
The Cruz is a full featured stroller with a reversible seat. It can also take an infant bassinet or a car seat. The stroller features an extendable canopy, rated UV 50+, an adjustable handlebar, a huge, easily accessible basket, Airgo foam tires which mimic the feel of air tires without ever going flat, soft bumper bar and standing fold. Available in 8 colors. A rain and bug shield is included with the stroller.
7. Easywalker Mosey - $465
The Mosey is the newest stroller in the Easywalker lineup. It's neat and slim and perfectly functional.
The frame is only 21.5" wide, making this stroller very convenient for navigating tight spaces. The Mosey also has a reversible seat, flat recline, adjustable leg rest, height adjustable handlebar and a bumper bar with gate opening. The canopy is expandable all the way down to the bumper bar. It's also height adjustable, a neat feature that very few strollers have. Unfortunately, this amazing canopy is missing a peek-a-boo window.
The stroller liner is removable and spare liners are available in an array of colors. The large rubber wheels perform well on various terrains without ever going flat. The Mosey can be used with an infant carrycot or a car seat.
8. Bumbleride Indie 4 - $529 - $600
The Indie 4 is a solid, high quality stroller that can last you from newborn stage to as long as you want to push your child around in a stroller. Some of Indie's great features are: flat recline, adjustable leg rest, adjustable handlebar, all terrain pneumatic wheels, a large canopy, large basket and washable, eco-friendly seat fabric. Available in 7 colors + black on black frame. The Indie 4 can be used with an optional infant bassinet or car seat.
In conclusion, I'd just like to say that though I'm in no way affiliated with any stroller brands, I am not above bribery and would happily accept as a gift (and would even review extensively) any of the strollers mentioned above.

ReplyDeleteI owed two Apricas,the presto flat and the presto. I also own two Bumblerides, the Indie and the Indie Twin. I hate City Minis and BOBs. I feel like this could be my list as well. I own the latest Cruz and can tell you that I might have been happier with the flip long term. I am also in the double market and dying to know what you purchased. I naturally came to the same conclusion you did and found you through the Duo2 post. For a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old, I though the B-Ready would work. Pushing it, however, became much harder than anticipated. The Twin was from Craigslist and a 2009 (gasp). I updated with new fabric and it is awesome for a off-craigslist stroller. Would I buy it new as my only side by side? No. I feel like the Vista is too hard to get out of the trunk as a single. Decisions, decisions... I would totally import a stroller from Japan if my husband would let me.
